F20C RWD Civic?
F20C RWD Civic?
Hey Guys,
I have been doing some thinking about how to get some power under the hood of my 2000 Civic ex. And I saw a totaled S2K for sale on craigslist and it got me thinking... Is it possible for RWD Civic? I'm just kinda in the concept stages of this right now, so if anyone has done this or has any information about that they would like to share, I would be interested in hearing it. Thanx.

Possible, yes, it's been done many times.
Simple, no.
Cost effective, no.
Will you find information beyond general pictures on the internet on how to do it, no.

It's mainly been done by import shops running modified class drag cars that have stepped up from running outlaw front wheel drive, because it's no longer possible to control the car without converting to rwd at the power levels they hit.

Duuuude...
yer need to mimprove yer searching skills... not even sure why i do bother to post...
and yeah, yeh could have just gone to a magazine stand and start reading stuff, then yeh could have known this already... straight from this same forums (which proves yer did not even try to search... which is really bad for one trying something new - they simply do not ask, they try to do, which is the differential from who completes or not the projects...)

Sorry for sounding like idiot guys. What I really wanted to know was ballpark figures, but from the sounds of it, its going to be too expensive to do as a garage project anyways. but thanks for the replys.

Re: F20C RWD Civic?
not to worry. but again, if this was a regular swap, maybe. a thing that needs to just roll the sleeves and try to do, well... depends much on how much you want to do it and lots of research - very few do know how to do.
