Engine swap advice
Engine swap advice
I plan on purchasing a 6th gen civic ex coup within the next couple months and hope to swap the engine out within the year. I've decided on the H22A (accord euro R) engine which I will more than likely purchase from hmotorsonline unless anyone has any better sites (also why is this motor cheaper than the one listed above when it has same specs).
Before I do any of this I want to know all necessary components involved with the install. From what I've researched it seems that the engine and transmission come with everything I need except for motor mounts and hasport axles (what is the advantage of buying these axles).
Before installing the engine I plan on adding an apexi WS2 catback exhaust and possibly headers and intake depending on funds. If I purchase any of these parts which specifically fit the D16 engine will they eventually fit the H22 when it's in place?
Also does anybody know mpg and required gas octane regarding the H22A.
Thanks in advance for your help.
