Throttle body swap

Hey everyone. I am wanting to do a throttle body swap to my 97 honda civic 1.6 liter lx. Don't want to spend a lot of money so wanted to see if there is another car I can take the throttle body off of that would work and would give me a larger bore on the TB. I do not want to do a bunch of mods to it but was hoping I could just pretty much swap it out. Any ideas on any vehicles that I could do this with? Please and thank you.

Re: Throttle body swap

you could get a used stock one on ebay (make sure to check whether auto or manual) and send to maxbore.com

Re: Throttle body swap

I would pry just go to the salvage yard and pick one up for 20.00 but wanted to find one that would line up and have a larger inlet for more power. Do you know if that is possible?

Re: Throttle body swap

Any B series throttle body should swap over, I've ever heard the h22 tb may work, but you need to have the intake manifold plenum bored out to match the throttle body.

Re: Throttle body swap

Thank you both for the help on that. Do you know if I will have to switch out the IAC and MAP sensors with the new TB or would the new ones work on it?
