D16y8 to B16A
Hello fellas, im new to this forum and im wondering what would i need to do a engine swap on my 98 civic EX D16y8 to a B16A. I was wondering should i do a swap, or just drop a turbo in it. which one seems better? and what would i need if i did a swap??
Re: D16y8 to B16A
The B16 would probably be the better choice depending on how much you plan on spending. The B16 has DOHC compared to the SOHC in the D16. It also redlines at 8K which I love. The only thing that I dont like so much about it is that the compression is 10:1 which doesnt allow you to b safely running over 8psi when you decide to turbo it sometime in the future, without changing the compression a bit.
