gauges?

i am looking into buying a 98 civic hatch. I am aware that the hatchback model does not come with a tach, what are the options i have to sway a different civic gauge cluster in so i dont have to buy a ridiculous tachometer gauge. By the way i am planning on swapping a b18 or k20 in it so does this limit my choices?

According to here the case is the same, so we know any will fit. We just gotta figure out if you can plug-and-play or rewire or have to run a wire for it. I think by '98 they all ran off a VSS just like the late models. Don't know where the VSS is tho, sorry.
