Supercharger troubles...

I have been having some serious trouble with my supercharger pulleys. The setup is for a D16Z6 motor supercharged by jackson racing. A year ago, the pulley was damaged after the belt came off, leaving it in a wobbling state when the car was on. Perhaps that was my fault for not having proper tension to the supercharger pulley. Last week however, the belt came off when I was around 5000 rpm for no reason at all. I just replaced the tensioner bolt with a new one and checked it frequently before the belt came off. After I replaced the old belt with a new one, within 2 days, the new belt came off as well. The pulley again was virbrating and wobbling very excessively. Whenever I would change the gears when driving, it would emit a loud noise I have never heard before. I am getting tired of this. I shouldnt have to keep replacing supercharger pulleys and belts. Suggestions please!!!

at the risk o fsounding like a smart *** my best suggestion is to find someone around you that works on superchargers at a shop and have them look at it.

Hey, why not contact Jackson racing about it if you've exhausted all other resources.

Re: Supercharger troubles...

have you ever checked the alignment of the SC drive? When the belt came off the first time, could you possibly have yanked the pulley shaft or bent it slightly so the belt is no longer tracking true?
Usually if you keep throwing a belt off anything, its because something is misaligned.
