Keep the "coilovers" and buy some good dampers for them

I'd say the best depends on what your current spring rates are, what type of springs they are (linear, progressive) and what you are looking to do with the car. More specific information is needed.
I've never been a fan of Tokico dampers, KYB AGX adjustable are fine for stock springs or Eibach Pro-Kit with some good adjustability. For higher rate linear springs my personal preference is Eibach ERS and Koni dampers-double adjustable (red) if they are in your budget. These are still not as good as a full proper external reservoir coil-over but I'm too low cash for that
