96 Electrical Gremlins

These two things may or may not be related, but I'm inexperienced with this car so I thought I'd put it out there.

Basically after some simple investigation I can find nothing wrong electrically but I have two problems:

1. No power whatsoever to the radio wiring. Fuse is good. Wiring looks ok.

2. Front windows go down but not back up. The motors appear to work, so perhaps this isn't an electrical problem, or maybe it has to do with the switches?

This is my commuting car so it would be great to have a radio at least. The windows I can deal with, but any advice in that area would be very much appreciated as well. Thanks!

Do you have a multi-meter and know how to use it?

There are two fuses. The one under the dash may be good, but did you check the "Radio/BackUp" fuse in the fusebox under the hood? It's a 7.5A fuse.

I did not! Like I said, I'm new to this car; I inherited it from my wife. Also, yes I do have a good meter and I know how to use it. No power on the appropriate wires to the radio harness. I'll check the other fuse.

Any ideas on the windows? I'm hoping it's something simple like a switch because the motors aren't cheap.

Edit: Yep, the 7.5A fuse was blown. I'll replace it when I get home tonight and see if that fixes the radio.

With both windows doing it I would assume it's the master switch. Back-probe the motor connector for voltage while activating the switch. No voltage means you need to do a master switch input test. You have a PM.
