hi,im new here,, i like to tinker with different makes of cars andthis is the first honda iv had to deal with and would appreciate all help, i despise dealers lol so all d.i.y answers thanks:
98 honda civic coupe 1.6,the 1.6 engine went bang so i replaced it with a 1.6 sohc vtec. it runs on the ils ecu but miss fires on low revs, so i got a vtec ecu and control box(box under steering column) but no key!! when both of these were fitted it wouldnt even turn over,but when i connected up the vtec ecu and the ils controller box the engine kept turning over and the exhaust kept puffing but no fire, i was thinking this was down to the injectors receiving no pulse?? anyway i like the honda setups and would really like to see this running properly,its also fitted with a series 2 pro intake we brought it for a spin running on the ils ecu and even with the miss and without the vtec wired up it was a rocket, anyway of getting this running with the bits i have???
