so i just recently picked up a '00 civic coupe. the guy i bought it from was pretty cool and pointed out that the owner before him rigged up a headlight system from another vehicle (350z i think he said). what he failed to mention however was that the bulbs are actally held in place with duct tape. the stock enclosures look like they were hacked open larger with an ice pick to accomodate the new bulbs. only the low beam works. there appears to be some type of converter wired in to the stock wiring (only 2 wires the 3rd wire was just dangling, not even capped) what i want to know is can i pick up a set of aftermarket light housings and convert back to factory bulbs since the retaining clip is long on on the current setup. which wires are for high beam and which for low? i can figure out the ground wire. is there something between the bulb and the factory wiring setup in the stock configuration? thanks for any help.
