Question Need to Replace Bulbs in HVAC controls :(

Hello all!

A long time ago I had pulled out the bulbs for the heating/AC controls in my 2000 Civic coupe. Now that I need to pop them back in, I can't find them and need to buy new ones. The only thing is no matter how hard I have Googled and searched, I can't figure out which bulbs I need. The ones in question are *all* the bulbs in the HVAC controls next to the radio, and the clear bulb(s) that go in the AC/defroster buttons which are below the radio.

Also, the small plastic bulb sockets which the bulbs wedge into - are these hard to find? I'm talking about what holds the bulb and twists into the back of the HVAC controls to hold in the bulb and makes the electrical connection. I am guessing these would be hard to find at an auto parts store? If I tried to replace them, where would be the easiest place to find these (hopefully outside of paying dealership prices).

I would *GREATLY* appreciate any help and/or part numbers, as I need to get these replaced ASAP. Thank you all very much in advance!

They are called "neo wedge" bulbs the bulb and the socket are sold as 1 part.

Use this site to look up part # under your trim level and pick them up at the dealer.

Thank you so much!

I had tried searching on sites similar to that one, but had no idea what these bulbs were called. I thought they were a bit more common than this, but I wound up calling up my local dealership and ordering them. We should be getting them in tomorrow, so I will let you know how it goes

Yup, they worked out perfect. Thanks for the link!

Now I think I am still missing one from my gauge cluster, but I'll have to tear that apart one of these days to figure out which one. Hopefully that same site will be just as useful finding out which bulb that one is.

Re: Need to Replace Bulbs in HVAC controls :(

Ok, I just checked, and I do need to replace two bulbs in my gauge cluster. They are the two that cast the light over the front of the panel, not the rear. Unfortunately, Honda doesn't seem to carry them

They do have this listed, although I'm not sure if it's only the socket, or if this includes the bulb:

However, I would also need to replace the left hand side one, which has a cable that runs around to the rear of the cluster:

These bulbs, unlike the four I replaced in the HVAC controls are separate from the socket. Does anyone know if these are common at auto parts stores? If so, what number are they?

Thank you all again!
