sub placement and selection, 99 civic coupe ex
Hello, I'm new to this site and i need some help figuring out what subs i should get for my 99 civic and where to place them.
I got a 52x4 head unit if that makes any difference
My preference would be to maybe get 2 10's in separate boxes to have one on each side so i can use the the fold back back-seats for utility, or just someway to be able to use the fold back seats. What are your thoughts about this and are there any consequences by doing it that way? Also, i was thinking about just getting 1 12" and wondering if that would be enough? And for the Amp, im totally clueless on what i need. I dont want so much bass to where i cant hear the music and rattle my trunk to heck, but enough to bump good inside and out.
Also, i concerned that my trunk is going to rattle like a B**ch, i dont want to foam it, what else would help?
Now i would like to spend as little money as possible, or basically looking for the best bang for my buck.
Or if you guys could tell me other ways i could set them up which would be better please elaborate!
Thanks a bunch! Much appreciated!

get a single 10" or 12", put it to the one side against the back seat, and you'll be able to use one half of your fold down. a single 10 or 12 will be more than enough bass for a civic.

Agree with the above. But in the end, only you can say what's "enough." Go to some audio stores and start listening to subs, in various combinations, with various amps, from various manufacturers, and go from there. You're the one that has to live with it, it better be what you want--and the only way to find that is to listen to some.
