98 Civic LX power door locks non operational
98 Civic LX power door locks non operational
The switch on the drivers door doesn't lock or unlock any of the doors. The manual locks work fine. There's only one switch on the drivers side, none on the passengers side.
I checked both the fuses under the dash and under the hood and they seem fine.
I have removed the screw under the inner door handle and tested both the door lock switch and the wires running to it. The switch is getting power and the switch itself seems to be good (I tested for continuity thru the switch while flipping the switch from lock to unlock and the needle on the meter jumped).
I have read many other forum posts where some people here a click, but no action in the lock. There's no audible click, just seems like the whole thing is dead, except I am positive the switch is getting juice. If it's the actuator, wouldn't I still hear it trying to work?
So I am wondering where the problem may lie? Does anyone have any suggestions on what to test next?
Thanks!

My car did the same thing, the next thing u will notice is probably your speaker will stop working or your window if electric will quit working, mine is a. 96 and had to go and re wire the whole thing, from inside underneath your dash and go through the door to your control that's in the door, that's the only thing I could do with mine.
