stero caused check engine light

i just recently installed a pioneer cd player in my 98 hx now c.e.l is on and wont reset.also dome light no longer comes on when doors are open stereo works fine tho anybody help me out

there is a green plug that u have to do some thing to, try pluging ur factory back and c if the dome light works again
