Inverted HID Kit

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum, and I hope to get all my question about my Civic answered!.

Please be patient with me, Iīm kind of new with Hondas...

Well, letīs get to the point:

Iīve installed a low beam HID Kit, but I think somethingīs wrong.

The Hi beam is the xenon lights, and the low beam is the Halogen lights.

I canīt figure out whatīs wrong....

If this is a repost, sorry

Thanks for all the help!

Re: Inverted HID Kit

That's weird, how did that happen? You have a 2000 right? There is only 1 bulb for highs and lows. Which kit did you buy?

Re: Inverted HID Kit

i think you wired it wrong. our headlight wiring is a bit confusing and the way it works, you have one wire thats 12v+ all the time, then for the low beam the LO wire becomes ground, and for the hi beam the HI wire becomes ground. otherwise they stay hot so the light is off.

Re: Inverted HID Kit

chances are, you just have to switch around the wires. its just hooked up in reverse. you need to first find out which of the three wires for each side is the constant 12v wire (always hot in both lo beam and hi beam mode). then figure out the other two wires. its hard to explain but for them, they will both be hot when headlights are off, and when lo beam is used, one will turn into a ground so the lo beam lights up (power from 12v wire and ground from other wire). when hi beam is used, the second wire turns ground and the first wire stays hot so the lo beam turns off and hi beam comes on.
