Okay So i need some help. I have an alpine headunit, Infinity Speakers, Infinity amp, 2 12" Kicker Comp CVRs subs.

Okay Now I have a 4 chan infinity amp. I have my 4 speakers/ 2 subs powered off it. Yes I know I need to get a Mono amp which I am soon.

now, I had 50ft of orange extention cord running through my car (seen in pics) I forgot how my amp was wired. Todd (XXchiovdaxx) or whatever on here wired it up for me and it bumped hard.

So yeah I replaced the cord with some nice wire hooked it all up speakers sound good, but the sub doesnt work right. take a look at the pic on how i have it wired. What's wrong here? I took the 2 chan dedicated to 4 speakers. I put the 2 (-) wires together and the 2 (+) wires together.

Now for the subs. I have them both wired so I have one chan for one sub and the other chan for the other.



So why does it not sound right? When I put the RCA in the amp for the SUBS when i put both of them (white and red) nothing really happens. When I put only ONE (doesnt matter the color) in its got bass. But it's not as loud as it was.


So what's wrong here????????? ughhh

Seriously, an extension cord? Thats just not safe. If you're going to have a system like this, use the proper wiring.

My first and overall advice is to un hook it all as its seemingly unsafe, and take it to a licensed installer before a fire starts.

It was hard to follow, but just looking at your pictures, you need to plug in that left input for the rear channel.

You need a warning sticker on your passenger door that says, "Enter at own risk." Make sure there are visible skulls and crossed bones for those that may be unaware of the dangers posed by your electrical knowledge.

The orange wires in your first picture, you said they're gone right? Please also remove any other electrical tape you have in your system and replace it with solder and heat shrink tubing. It is much safer.
For safety reasons, please close off any exposed wires including the silver wire below the speaker wire and the blue battery wire mushrooming itself out of the amp.
How many ohms does your amplifier support?
How many ohms do your subs support?
Which type of competition are your subs made for?
How many ohms are you running in your current setup?
Are you set up for sequence or parallel?
You need a new amplifier.

lol seriosuly yes. When i plug that white left rca in the sub hardly works.. it's totally weird. IDK how my friend had it setup. and im in NC away from home so he can't see it ughh

if i had to guess, your subs are wired wrong. the wiring for one is canceling the other. it's not that their out of phase, but your wiring is just wrong. disconnect your sub wires and connect them one at a time.

then again, it sounds like you might just be over-driving that amp...we're gonna need a little more info on your setup, but my advice is to disconnect everything you have and start from scratch. something is def wrong if all you did is replace the electrical cord with real speaker wire...

Well see here is what I don't know. the subs came in a box at 2ohms, my friend wired them so that id have wires from each sub so its 4ohms or something.
