Rear brake line problem
Rear brake line problem
I have a 2000 Civic coupe and am in the process of swapping it from drum brakes to disc brakes. The biggest reason for this is that I have not had the drum brakes redone since I got the car in 2002, But in this process I found that the brake line nut was stripped. I am considering replacing the line either from Honda ($160) or by doing it myself through cutting the line and flaring it and bending and attaching a new section.
My problem is figuring out where to cut it for the new section. I don't think I can cut it where it turns down because not enough room at the turn to flare it. And I think it might be to tight a space to flare the line in the wheel well if I cut it where it goes up before the 2 bends.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
This of course is how it feels to hit roadblocks on a build....
