Engine locked up!!!
Engine locked up!!!
Found a civic for cheap just as a project car says engine is locked up (d16y8) I don't got experience with civics, is it worth it to try and rebuild and fix or just drop in a new engine trying to go the cheapest route!

You can't a used engine for like $150 in my area. You'd want to go through it and replace certain items

Re: Engine locked up!!!
Is it hydro-locked? Easy to check: Remove all spark plugs and try to spin the crank manually (with a socket wrench) in the counter-clockwise direction. If it sdoesn't spin it's locked up. Could try removing the sparks plugs, pour marvel mystery oil into the cylinders, let soak for 24 hours or mare and then try manually cranking as described above.
