y7 block/ y8 vtec sohc head, crank tdc problems

so i took off the y8 head to re time everything be ause my dx was starting at very high compression during idle, found out that if i line up the crankshaft marks the pistons are all even halfway up the block but when i turn the crank forward three four times the pistons line up like there supposed tobut that woukd mean the crank is still out of time, i know 1 & 4 need to be all the way up and 2&3 down. please help me find a way to have the pistons tdc while the crank lines match. how do i change this? also i have a p28 ecu, i read i need to have one thats chipped, so how do i know if the one i bought is or not and my other question is do i have to switch to y8 pistons in the y7 block or can i stick with the y7 pistons i also have a thre layer head gasket, qillthis work?
