There are a couple ways to do it, if you have the head off, you can use a dial indicator and a stand, or use the crank marks.

Yea, there is a mark on the crank pulley and a pointer on the block that you can line up. I don't remember the specifics off the top of my head but shoot me a PM and i'll check tonight when I get home from work.

HyaBoosta will become famous soon enough
yeah it's easiest to just line up the marks on the crank pulley and use a wedge to hold it in place.

this is a pretty easy way to do it, get the engine put back together, pull the spark plug out of the number one cylinder, and take a piece of paper towel and roll it in a ball large enough to cover the hole where the spark plug is, have someone crank it untill the little paper towel comes shooting out, then take a flashlight and rotate the crank untill the piston is at the tdc youll know because it will obviously go back down if you go to far then back it off a bit, you want to make sure you have TDC on the compression stroke or you will have no timming at all but i wanna know how your planning on setting timeing on a car that has no distributor? the computer controls the timeing...

Don't forget the specs for the head bolt torque.
