need help with cigarrette lighter removal

Hi, i am trying to paint my interior, and i am having a hard time seperating the actual cigarrette lighter from the center console.

PLEASE NOTE: i have already taken the piece above the cup holders out, so i dont need a DIY for that.... i am looking for a way to actually pull out the lighter from the trim peices

Does anyone know how to do this?

I think there's like a half circle clip in behind... pop that out and they should come apart.

listen guys......... everyone says to pull hard and it will come out.... however i am telling you that on the back of the lighter there are 2 clips holding it back.... and if i push really hard to take it out, these 2 clips will snap and i wont be able to put it back in firmly after i am done painting

So then take 2 small screwdrivers, cover the tip in tape, push them under the clips so they release and pry the bastard out. Its not really that difficult of an operation.

It IS so simple. I had it apart in 10 minutes, and I spent 6 of them taping the screwdrivers. Its not rocket science, its a simple little clip. If it breaks a new ligher doesn't cost a whole lot anyways.
