A/C Repair: Leak Dilemma

Replaced my discharge hose from the compressor to the condenser. Still won't hold a vacuum. Found a second leak in my condenser. Ordered a new one, but it will take a week to be delivered ($40 from Rock Auto vs $90 local). A/C system is now at 0, so no charge, no vacuum. Will being in this condition for a week harm anything? Should I disconnect the condenser hoses, block them with rubber stoppers, and bring the system to a slight vaccum?
