Civic 2000 EX - OBD2 fuse location and P1456
Hey everyone,
So i took my car to the mechanic couple of weeks ago and the code came up P1456, i googled it and it relates to something about fuel cap not being closed properly? Anyone know how to resolve this code and if it is expensive to do so?
Also, mechanic yesterday told me he cant get a reading and told me OBD2 fuse needs to be replaced, i looked up the diagram of my fuse box numbered from 1-33, could anyone tell me the location of OBD2 fuse and what AMP is it (7.5, 10, 20 etc)
Thank you.

Engine compartment fusebox, fuse #43, might be labeled 'interior lights', 7.5 amp
P1456 is defined as an evaporative emissions leak detected in the fuel tank system. Although a loose fuel cap or rotten fuel cap gasket may be one of the more common causes of that code, the fuel tank system and testing for leakage comprises far more than just the fuel cap.
If you're in the salt and rust belt.....Hey, have you ever noticed gas smell or leaks after filling the gas tank?

The computer puts the fuel tank under a slight vacuum then checks how long it can hold that vacuum.....if it leaks vacuum, it can also leak raw gas though it may not be obvious all the time.
Gas tank and lines tend to rust out here on cars that old....especially along the drivers side, back, and top of the tank. Sometimes you can see moist stains after filling the tank.
Rodent damage to wires, rubber and plastic tubing, is also popular in my area.
