Radiator and hose replacement 99 EX D16Y8 Engine Type

I'm planning on replacing the radiator and upper & lower hoses on the Civic. My son has it at school so i dont have access to measure the car.

I ordered this radiator from RockAuto: DENSO 2213208 {#19010P2J902} Info Automatic trans.; EX Model; Engine Code D16Y8

the inlet is 1.125 for the upper and lower. I ordered hoses. The upper hose is 1.125. The lowers seem to only come in 1.0 inch. On the RockAuto website, I dont see a 1.125 lower. Anyone know what the OEM hose is? Is the thermostat hosing fitting 1.125 inch?

there are so many variations of the Civic, are you better going to the dealer for these parts?

There's plenty of Honda pasrts sites selling genuine (OE/OEM) parts. I use HondaPartsNow most often. There's also HondaPartsCheap, Majestic Honda, Honda Parts Unlimited and several others. Genuine OE/OEM parts are always the best option as long as it's within your budget.

Denso may well be OE for 6th gen Honda Civic's at that time and possibly currently as well? Others here will know and hopefully reply. I've never measured the radiator openings but my guess is both upper and lower are the same size/circumference and 1.25 appears to be the correct size. Rock Auto link states 1.25 for both inlet and outlet = (same as) upper and lower.

Go with a genuine (OEM) thermostat..no worry for fitment issue and are inexpensive.

I did buy an OEM thermostat, that is one part not to skimp on.

The going rate for a Honda Radiator for the VIN is $300 from the discount dealer sites (15% of what he paid for the car). The radiator is showing signs of weeping around the upper plastic to coil. When the car returns for Christmas I'll double check hose sizes.
