honda civic LX '00 transmission shift at high RPM
Re: honda civic LX '00 transmission shift at high RPM
Sir, I already found the problem and the problem was to clean the throttle body with a new gasket and change the TPS for a new one, also you wrote "Did you get your meter autorange turned off or manually lowered so we can read more accurately than the nearest .5v?"
I also think you need to learn or update your knowledge to how to use a digital multi-meter as well. Thank you anyway.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Would have been nice to know you already replaced it, I would have posted differently.
So does a new TPS also solve the BARO code?
What did you adjust the voltage of the new TPS to, at closed throttle? It should be 0.49v at closed throttle. (0.47v-0.51v). This TPS value is extremely consistent across the entire car line for cable operated throttle bodies.
Your results from post #26 indicate the TPS is faulty or stuck slightly open, but then at post #29 you gave a voltage value that is far off target, leading me to wonder if you have more problems.
The other two wires at the TPS connector should measure as 5v and ground, not 5.4v. If you actually do have 5.4v there, then something ain't right. If not, no biggie.

Sir,
Yes did solve the barometric code, no more codes and everything motor, transmission are working very well , for tps out voltage, I set it up by the book(service manual) to .50 V at closed throttle. Thank you for all your help and time.
