97 civic with blown motor
I'm new to this forum and new to working on civics. i have a 97 civic with a blown d16y7. I believe its in the bottom end. I also have a 92 civic with a d15. am I able to use the block from the d15 and replace from the head up with the blown y7? both are non vtec. and what else whould I have to change in order to swap the d15 into the 97? I'm not sure if the d15 is obd1 or obd2.
Re: 97 civic with blown motor
Just get a D16 from a junk yard and save the hassle.
Technically you can't swap an older engine into a newer car because of emissions but that depends where you live.
