Rep Power: 0 3 fixes and a mechanic... Still won't start
Back story... Bought this car 9 months ago, and had run amazing since I got it, no problems. It does have a slightly leaking oil pan but that's it. I came home after work, turned off, but it wouldn't start next morning.
Replaced the fuel filter, battery, spark plugs and wires, distributor cap and rotor. Had a mechanic out here, checked the fuel and air, everything looking good. Timing belt I great shape. Must be electrical but all systems check out. Don't know why it won't turn over. It's cranking and trying to start but won't kick over.
I'm a novice at DIY auto repair. Thanks for your help!

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Compression, spark, fuel.
Which is not present in the correct quantity and at the correct time?

Is it flooded.
Funny story. A couple months back my mother calls to tell me her accord won't start. It just spins and spins real fast. I ask if she had started the car and let it run a few seconds and then turned it off. She said no. I drive the hour drive to look at the car in 40* rain while I had a cold with a fever and even better it is at night in a parking lot. I gave up on fixing it that night, my brother loaned her a car and I went back the next weekend. It fired right up with a huge belch of black fuel smoke out the tailpipe. Weeks later she admits to my brother that she had started the car and her foot had slipped off the clutch and stalled 3 seconds after starting and then wouldn't restart. I wasted a lot of time driving for that non sense.
So the moral of the story is "Did you start the car and let it run for less than 20 seconds the night before it wouldn't start?"
