EVAP isues
EVAP isues
I thought I would post here too.
My daughters 97 LX is leaking raw fuel out of the Evaporative Canister I checked the valve going to the engine and it appears to be working. The canister is functioning as well. No leaks and the internal routing of the canister is not leaking. Still when she gets a full tank it dumps fuel instead of re routing it back to the tank.
Obviously I am missing something here but I am not sure what.
To make matters worse the car has to pass E-Check in Ohio for her to get her plates?
There is a t way valve located on the gas tank if that is blocked it would over flow ?????
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help or concur with my thought.
Thanks X10

Re: EVAP isues
My first thought would be someone is overfilling the tank, like trying to get another $2 in after the pump clicked off. Don't do that, it can and will dump the excess raw gas into the charcoal canister.
Where is gas coming out again? Front of the car in the engine compartment, or the rear at the tank?
