1,5 vtec-E accelerations problem!

Hey guys!

I'm new on here, and english is my 2. langauge, so i'm excuse me if a make typos :-)

I am the happy owner of a '97 6. gen civic with at 1,5 Vtec-E (D15Z6) engine..

After replacing my headgasket and redoing the ingition i'm having some problems with getting it to accelerate without having small "dead spots" on the acceleration curve..

It's like driving with the handbrake on, and then the "dead spots" comes, but when you reach Vtec, everythings good and it accelerates without problems..

I've replaced the distributor cap, the rotor, spark cables and sparkplugs, and this hasen't done the trick, and i'ved checked that the timebelt isn't at the wrong placement, so that all good.

Do you guys have any idea what the problem could be? - Thanks for your time reading this, and have a good day! :-)

When i give full throttle, is accelerates like it suppose to, but like when i'm in 3rd, doing 35mph and try to accelerate, it's having serious problems picking up speed.
