D16y7 burned exhaust valve

I have a burned exhaust valve and need a new cylinder head. I drive your basic 1998 Honda Civic CX non-vtec commuter car and found a D16Y5 cylinder head for sale on Craigslist ($50). Too good to be true?

My question is, will the D16Y5 head fit my D16Y7 motor? I saw some other posts with people stating that it will, but they were also concentrating on tuning and using a vtec. I just need my car up and running again so I can get to work.

A machine shop can't fix your cylinder head?

I'm sure they can, but that seems like a lot of effort to track one down with my work schedule, car situation, and where I live (BFE) when I could just order a used one.

Anyways, upon further research I answered my own question. The d16y5 is a manual-only car and the head is transmission specific. I drive an automatic so it would not fit and I could also need a new ECU with the head apparently.

I went ahead and ordered a used d16y7 cylinder head.
