1998 Civic LX Rear Windows
1998 Civic LX Rear Windows
Hey Everyone.
Just got a 1998 Civic LX. Seems in good shape. The rear windows do not function. The front and passenger work fine. Locks work for all four doors.
I was wondering if the fact that the front works fine with both sides failed in the rear would point to any specific area of the system.
It doesn't seem like a fuse or relay issue because of these symptoms, but I will attempt a check tomorrow.
I will also check the door boot, but if anyone has any input it would be appreciated.
-Thanks

Test, don't guess.
Wiring diagram and volt/ohm meter.
You are likely to find there is no continuity in at least one wire or more between the driver door switch set and each of the rear door switches.
Those cars love to break the wires in the drivers door jamb harness where they flex.
EDIT: I'm pretty sure the kiddie lockout switch kills the passengers front window in addition to the rears, so I doubt it is that but check it anyway.
