Unhappy clutch issue? I think? help!

So its a 2000 and it is the original clutch however I thought it was fine.
Its -13 celsius here with a foot of snow. I went to start it yesterday ( after having problems getting the shifter into gear the day before) and I found when I pushed the clitch in it was sticking and it felt weird. When I tried to start the car it was lurching forward and bouncing like I was letting out the clutch while driving without giving it enough gas. After 4-5 tries it actually started but the shifter would hardly move at all let alone go into gear. This may be a dumb question but is the clutch hydraulic?does hydraulic fluid need to be topped off? Or is my clutch just screwdd. Please help!

Could be water in the fluid causing it do that or a failing clutch cylinder or slave cylinder. Fluid level should be filled to the mark. If the level keeps going down then you have a leak (most likely internal, either the master or slave).

Sounds sorta normal to me.
First winter with the car? Get used to it.

Old clutch fluid? replace with fresh DOT3
Wrong trans fluid?
