wont go into gear
recently while driving,,,,would pop out of fifth gear....stopped....now apparently stuck in second or third gear.....cant get shifter into any gear, as if linkage disconnected from trans......

get under the car and check the shift linkage, it's 2 black bars from the shifter to the trans. one is bolted to the trans, the other slides over a shaft coming out of the trans with a bitch pin holding them together. see if they are all connected. take pics if possible

everything looks fine and connected correctly. You trans may be junk.
With the car off, press in the clutch and it still won't go into or come out of gear. Even with some force?
