Vehicle Keeps Shorting

So I'm drivin' along, drivin' along when all of the sudden my car just shorts out for a split sec and the radio flickers off then back on, and you can see the speedo drop before it catches again. And then every time i turn it off something must be going on because it spits the cd out like it's been disconnected and when I start it again I have no preset radios stations.

My guess is it must be something to do with my battery cables, since I have a new battery (though I guess it could be a bad battery). I've checked and cleaned the terminals, no more blockage...help?!

Re: Vehicle Keeps Shorting

Did this all start with the new battery?
Are the terminals nice and tight?
Did you use dielectric grease on both battery posts AND all over the terminals?
Is there excessive corrosion going on?
