Loses power, no check engine light

I have a 1996 honda civic hatch back, 5 speed. Has new wires cap rotor plugs, just cleaned the air filter. Everything has been running great, The last week, about 30 min into driving, the car will start to lose power, almost like its going to shut off, I let go of the gas then its ok, then i push the gas again then its like its not getting gas, then it starts working again. It idles great. no other issues.

I am going to try to put some seafoam in it this weekend. and make sure the throttle body is cleaned out. and Check my grounds. Any other ideas? Also it has been hot, so been using the AC, when it happens I have turned off the AC to see if that is the issue but it still continues to do it even after it is turned off.

if its not that, then check your alternator cause it helps charge the battery.

Re: Loses power, no check engine light

The Cat is only a year old, magnaflow direct fit. Reason why I changed it before the manifold had the Crack in it so I upgraded to the magnaflow cat and header.

I noticed it only does it at part throttle, like it is starving for gas, im wondering if it is the throttle position sensor now, but it is so weird it only does it mid day when it is hotter out. in the morning I have no issues at all

Yeah not issues turning over, and no codes, I wish there was a code. And no issues turning over and no electrical issues. its seems to be fuel, I can be driving steady at about 50 or 55 then the car starts to lose power, I push on the gas more and I can hear like the engine is boggin down, then I push the gas more then it picks up again and sounds better, is a manual so it also does this at lower speeds too. if Im driving anything over 3500 rpms then its fine, if im steady driving at about 2,000 to 3,000 it starts acting like its losing power.

yea then might be ur throttle postion sensor. but id start small and work ur way up. if u have noticed an all around power loss id say itd b somthing as small as ur fuel filter. remove ur fuel filter and blow through it and see how much resistance there is. check ur spark plugs too.
