anti lock not working on 2000 civic

Hi guys a guy in town has a 2000 civic ex 4 door for sale. Its a nice car but he says the antilock brakes are not fully functional. He said the car can drive ok without the abs. Any idea what can cause this and how $ to fix? My guess is he knows and does not want to fix. Its a nice 5 speed with only 109,000 miles for $2500.00, thanks

Umm....

The code(s) will tell the story.
My guess is he knows and does not want to fix.
Typical.
Why spend money on something you're getting rid of?
the car can drive ok without the abs
I might not care about ABS if it were mine. I can drive a car.
