Civic wont start
Civic wont start
I had some electrical issues causing my car to die, the alternator fuse would trip then the battery would drain and die. i took my intake off fixed up some wires put an aftermarket intake mani on and now it wont start. I have an aem fuel rail with gauge so i know i have fuel pressure, injectors read 11.7 to 12, injector wires are good, and i have spark, and plugs are wet... it should start right?
Any ideas?

Re: Civic wont start
i have good blue spark. I pulled all my plugs out and it was full of gas, i unplugged all my injector wires aswell and cranked it till all the gas was out of the cylinders. put everything back then cranked it over for a while to get it started and nothing. i pulled a plug and the cylinder was full of gas...
Re: Civic wont start
when you cranked it did you put your foot on the gas at full throttle? that will initiate clear flood mode and your injectors wont fire. if you didnt your just putting more fuel in the cylinder. pull out the plugs, put gas to full throttle, crank engine for a bit to get rid of some of the fuel. let it sit for awhile, warm up plugs with lighter or torch, put them back in while they are warm and you believe most of the chamber is dry, crank over with throttle on the floor and it should start if you have good spark.
also did you actually do a spark gap test or did you just ground the plug and look for spark? just because you get spark doesnt mean it is enough to run the engine. test resistance in plug wires and test resistance in ignition coil. a-b terminals should be between .63-.77 ohms.
take off a piece of your intake and put your hand over it while someone cranks the engine to make sure air is sucking in to the engine.
