DX, HX, EX, all make a difference, as does AT/CVT/MT makes another difference, and KL or KA emissions (Cal or 49 state).
I see 8 choices for a 1998 2 door.
AT narrowed it down to 2 choices. I picked a random. EX.
Yep, will be close to $800 for just the new part. Plus labor.

used ecu maybe $100, labor maybe an hour? i cant see it taking that long and why would a 98 need programming? there is no immobilizer that i know of or any coded key. plug in the ecu and go, provided its for the matching model and trans type as your car is.
