Good mornin can anyone tell me how much does it cost to program a. Cpu. For a 98 civic coupe auto. Trying to restore a stolen recovery that I just bought. Paid 250 for the entire. Car. Was missing cpu. Just replaced but need to be programed how much should this run me at the dealer

DX, HX, EX, all make a difference, as does AT/CVT/MT makes another difference, and KL or KA emissions (Cal or 49 state).

I see 8 choices for a 1998 2 door.
AT narrowed it down to 2 choices. I picked a random. EX.
Yep, will be close to $800 for just the new part. Plus labor.

No I don't need the cpu/epu already have installed need it programed how much does that cost

used ecu maybe $100, labor maybe an hour? i cant see it taking that long and why would a 98 need programming? there is no immobilizer that i know of or any coded key. plug in the ecu and go, provided its for the matching model and trans type as your car is.

there are a ton of used ECUs on ebay. Find which model you need and they are like $40 the ECU can be replaced very easily, it should be in the passenger kick panel.
