I recently got my clutch replaced last week and when I got the car back from the mechanic, since that day when I got home from work I smelt something burning. Looked under the hood did not see anything. 2 days later, I see a large puddle on the ground of Transmission Fluid. My transmission never leaked until I left that shop after getting clutch fixed. I brought my car back to the shop this morning. They explained to me after looking at it on the lift that the Shift Shaft Seal is leaking transmission fluid. The mechanic who worked on my car insisted that he did not have to touch that to replace my clutch.

Is this true?
