Rep Power: 0 Rebuilt head - Still burning oil
I recently had the head completely rebuilt on my b16. + New timing belt and water pump. For the first week it didn't seem to burn any oil. Then i started noticing the bluish smoke, mostly when Im coasting down hill, and I hit the gas and out comes the smoke. The weird thing is, it seems to only burn oil every other day. NOT all the time.
I was told maybe it could be a failed pcv valve. Help would be appreciated!

im not exactly sure, but just rebuilding the top end prolly wouldnt fix oil burning on its own. it could be due to valves or it could be due to piston rings.

new piston rings too? if the whole engine was built, there should not be any issues. otherwise take it back to the shop. pcv and other intake parts could cause problems but nothing as bad as burning oil. sounds like someone didnt know how to rebuild the engine properly to me.
