driver's power lock won't close all the way

Hi All,

When using the power lock (either from remote or the switch on the door itself) the lock won't close all the way. But unlocking works fine using the power locks. Anyone know what the problem could be? I can still lock it all the way by manually using the key.

Thanks!

Yeah, but does it work nice and easy, or is it binding?
Could a tiny electric motor with cheap plastic gears work it?

Doesn't work right, and the door is fully closed?

ONE guess would be a weak actuator.
ANOTHER guess would be a latch problem, or linkages, or something else in the door.

Lock actuator is sold separate from the door latch.

You could use a pair of jumper wires and the battery to operate the lock actuator both directions, see if it is really weak.
If it works correctly with jumper wires, then it isn't the actuator. Look to controls or wiring.

No easy answer from me, you may have to do some work here.
