Hey everyone, I just bought a 1996 Civic EX Coupe w/ 160,000 miles on it. It is great except for a few things I can't figure out. When my headlights are turned off, my gear indicator light and radio backlight are on, but when I turn my headlights on, the gear indicator and radio backlight turn off. All my indicator lights on the dash such as seatbelt, cruise control, etc. all work when lights are on or off. The Speedometer and Tach light aren't though. I already checked the fuses under the steering column, and the fuse itself was good, but when it is plugged in, I don't get a reading from it. I pulled the whole cluster out to inspect the actual bulbs, but there is a blue cover over them making it difficult to see the filament, and their tough to get off. Thanks for any suggestions.

The dimmer units on 6th gens are a common problem. The control unit is contained behind the dimmer **** iirc.
