Going from automatic to manual trans question on 98 Civic dx
Hey guys I am replacing a bad engine in my civic dx 5spd with the same engine but it is out of an automatic. Can I use all the parts from the old engine and bolt them right to the "ex-auto" engine? It looks like ill just have to swap the flywheel and obviously the clutch over to the good engine. Any problems with this? The clutch was fine before the engine lost compression so Im just gonna reuse it with the good motor.
Also this is what im pulling off the old motor, and the clutch has some wacky bolts that i dont have a socket for, never seen them before. They are like a 13 point bolt head. Anyone know the exact size that I need for this? thanks!!!

Regular 12 point socket, probably 10mm. Nothing special, it's just not a 6 point socket. I'm sure Sears has it.
AFAIK, engines are the same for A/T and M/T, you already know what needs changed.
