Auto trans interchange question?
Auto trans interchange question?
I have a 98 Civic EX 4-door sedan with an auto transmission. I'm looking to get a good used transmission from someone I know out of the same year Civic but his is a 2-door DX. My question is, my transmission number starts with M4RA and his is B4RA. So far all I can find out is the M4RA transmissions were installed in the Japanese made Civic's (which mine is) and the B4RA transmissions were installed in the USA made Civic's. However, there doesn't seem to be any other difference, that I can tell.
Can someone with knowledge of these cars and their transmissions please let me know if this transmission will fit and operate the same in my Civic.
Thank you.
