1997 civic EX tranny trouble

1997 civic EX tranny trouble
This unit has 107,000 miles on it. When you shift and let up on the clutch I can hear a brief metal/chatter sound. Occasionally it is hard to get it into reverse as well..any ideas? Thanks

Has the clutch ever been replaced in your car? Usually Honda clutches go for eternity but if the chatter noise only happens when you let off then I'm fairly certain it's not a synchro issue. And I also have trouble getting it into reverse in my tranny as well (135k miles on mine) I just shift it into 4th then into reverse..works every time
