2000 Civic oil consumption

2k civic here. Has 187k miles. Uses 1 quart of oil in 500 miles of driving at 70-80 mph. No oil leaks, no smoke out the tailpipe....what is the problem?

Re: 2000 Civic oil consumption

try www.auto-rx.com and hope for the best. will prolly cut the consumption in half. not much else you can do short of a rebuild. check the obvious stuff like pcv valve, tuneup parts, etc. but usually oil burning is caused by internal engine problems.

do a compression test on motor .
if it checks out good your valve stem seals need replacement .
