How tight should the o2 sensor be?
How tight should the o2 sensor be?
I replaced the upstream o2 sensor on my 99 LX. The sensor is kind of a pain to get to with the A/C lines in the way, but still managed it. I bought one of those o2 sensor sockets and it worked great to remove the old sensor, but was useless installing the new one. I couldn't even get it to seat properly on the new Bosch sensor since it is longer than the opening on the socket. I managed to tighten it all the way by hand and got maybe one turn on it with the ratchet and o2 socket halfway on the sensor nut, enough to get a bite. It feels good and tight. I hope that it good enough. It's just a tight space to work in.

should be fine, you can also use a regular wrench on it. so long as it is seated properly so air doesnt leak in.
