car hesitation

Here the story. A few months ago, my car start to hesitation in acceleration, but it never die or stall yet, just jumpy or struggling. I change the distributor and spark plugs a year ago. Recently I found out I might have a blown headgasket cause of the overheating and smell coolant out of the tail pipe. Could blown headgasket be connect to the car hesitation? Or I have a bad distributor?

97 DX civic with 225k miles.

Re: car hesitation

um yeah bad headgasket can cause all kinds of problems and eventually destroy the motor. but with that kind of mileage, you got good use out of it. if you like the car, just swap in a newer engine. wouldnt be that much more compared to fixing the old one.
