98 Civic DX Timing question

SInce there are no traditional timing degrees on the pulley here is my question. Stock timing is 16 degrees + or - 2 but there are only 2 marks to line up. So, if I have my inductive timing light set to 0 and the marks are lined up does that mean the timing is at 0 and I should set the light to 16 then line the marks up again? I have set it to 10 right now and it seems to run well but is the timing still retarded a few degrees below stock or am I WAAAY over? There is no audible knock but I am still concerned. ANy help is appreciated. Basically are the marks set for stock timing or 0?
thanks

thanks, at least you tried. This is frustrating because I have a Trailblazer SS as well and the forum I am on with them is full of information and people always willing to help out or point in the right direction.
